About Kim
Kim Corbett, B.Eng., ND, owns and operates the Naturopathic Medicine Health Centre, which she founded at this location in 2001. One of twelve licensed Naturopathic Doctors in Quebec, she is highly qualified to assess and manage your unique health concerns.
Born and raised in the West Island of Montreal, Quebec, Kim obtained her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from McGill University and was employed in the field of Environmental Engineering for 10 years.
At this time of her life, Kim was challenged with her own health issues which she was able to resolve with the help of an ND. This positive experience led her to a second career as a Naturopathic Doctor. She proceeded to complete a four-year program in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, returning to Montreal to practice.
Having found her niche in natural health care, Kim feels privileged to be a part of each person's healing journey and is gratified to witness and acknowledge the successes along the way to attaining their health goals. Our focus is always on progress, not perfection.
Kim is also a Kripalu-certified Yoga Dance teacher. In her classes she uses yoga flow and dance to help open the chakras, similar to the way acupuncture is used to help the flow of Qi in the body. Creating a safe space for self-expression and freedom of movement is its own form of healing.
When she's not leading a class, Kim is dedicated to her own yoga practice. Her passions include making art, hiking, snowboarding and unwinding in the good company of family and friends. Getting out in nature is an important part of keeping her own sense of balance. She notes the importance of acknowledging our seasonal changes which, in today's virtual world, can so easily pass us by.Professional Associations:
Kim is licensed through the BDDT-N (Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy) in the province of Ontario, and is a member of the CAND, (Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors)
and the QANM, (Quebec Association of Naturopathic Doctors) in the province of Quebec.
